Brennan looks at one-time costs to improve services

Mayor Michael Dylan Brennan said City Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. March 26 at which council is expected to approve a 2018 budget -- one that spends nearly $1.3 million more than the city is projected to take in this year.

Brennan and council have crafted the budget after meetings that included a retreat and another in which the mayor presented a wish list to council. That wish list included hiring an economic development director and a communications/civic engagement coordinator.
